How we verify
Every planning fact carries its own source and date. Here’s what our labels mean.
Where facts come from
Hours, fees, booking rules, group sizes, capacities and policies come from the venue’s own website or its official booking page. Regional wine organizations help us find places. We never take a venue’s group or wedding policy from a third-party description.
The labels on each fact
- Venue states: the venue’s own page says this. We link the page and the date we checked it.
- Needs confirmation: the venue’s own pages disagree, for example two different capacities. We show both and ask you to confirm.
- Not published: we couldn’t find it on an official page. Unknown is never shown as “no”, and it never satisfies a filter unless you choose to include places that need confirmation.
- Needs reconfirmation: hours, fees or booking rules checked more than 60 days ago. That’s our editorial threshold, not a promise that newer facts are still right.
Checked is not visited
Checking a source is different from visiting. We say so on every venue page and don’t describe personal visits we haven’t made.
The current records
The listings in this preview were captured from indexed excerpts of each venue’s official pages. An editor still has to read each page in full; each source is marked “editor read-through pending” until then.
Open now, availability and distance
We don’t show “open now”: published schedules have too many seasonal exceptions. Nothing here says a venue has space for your group or your date. Distances are straight-line miles from Pioneer Courthouse Square, not driving times.
